What this release does
This version of companies.house has no user accounts, no sign-in, no email sending and no advertising trackers. You can search and read without registering.
Searches
Your search is sent to our server so it can be forwarded to the Companies House Public Data API, and the response is cached briefly to reduce repeated requests. We do not send raw search text, personal data or full IP addresses to third-party analytics. Where we measure usage, we record that an event happened, such as "search submitted" or "calendar exported", rather than what you typed.
Company data
Company records shown here are public register data published by Companies House. We hold only the fields our pages need, along with the source URL and the time of the check. Officer and person-with-significant-control data is outside the scope of this release, and we do not build person-search pages.
Cookies
We do not set advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Any cookie used is limited to making the site work.
Third parties
Requests to the Companies House API are made by our server, not your browser, and your API-related details are never exposed to it. Clearly labelled partner links, once configured, take you to a provider's own site, where that provider's privacy notice applies.

To ask about data held about you, or to raise a concern about content, use the routes on our contact and corrections pages. The site owner's identity and formal data-protection contact details will be published here once supplied; we will not invent them.
Future features
If watchlists, email digests or exports are added later, this notice will be updated first, with consent and unsubscribe controls in place before any email is sent.
