How these tools handle data
Company details are retrieved from the Companies House Public Data API and cached briefly so that repeated lookups do not consume extra capacity. Each result shows the time we checked the record and links to the official company record.
SIC descriptions come from the official condensed list published by Companies House. Our own interpretation is always labelled separately from the official wording.
Where a field is missing we show "Not available" rather than filling the gap. Where a refresh fails we say so instead of stamping old data as current.
